Pastor Jeremy Hollingshead was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, a small city located on the banks of the Ohio River in Southeast Ohio. While Pastor Jeremy lived most of his life in Southeast Ohio, He did live as far south as Corpus Christi, Texas as a child, and as far North as Portland, Maine as an adult. He also spent one year as a resident of South Bass Island as an intern pastor in Put in Bay. Pastor Jeremy graduated from Jackson High School in the city of Jackson Ohio, Ohio Christian University, and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He has been called to three churches during his time as an ordained minister and is currently the Northeastern Ohio Synod Council Secretary in addition to recently being called as pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem, Ohio. Pastor Jeremy lived in Salem several years before being called to Emmanuel and loves the community as well as being pastor of Emmanuel. He has stated that he is thrilled to have been called to be pastor at Emmanuel. Coming from the rolling hills of Southeast Ohio, Pastor Jeremy grew up surrounded by music and was also influenced by the Welsh cultural heritage that many in Appalachian Ohio share. As such, he loves singing and hoped he would grow up to be a musician but felt called to the ministry at age 17. However, music is still the most integral part of his spiritual and prayer life.
